Filet mignon is known as the most tender of cuts. At Mariani's, our chefs expertly prepare your filet mignon from the most flavorful part of the beef tenderloin. Once seasoned, the filet is grilled to perfect tenderness.
For those who prefer filet mignon wrapped in bacon, we offer a delicious bacon-wrapped version. Each delectable piece is seasoned lightly and grilled on an open chargrill.
You
will not find a better pork rib anywhere. St. Louis style
ribs are meaty and tender. We start with only the best ribs
we can find, marinate them in Mariani's secret recipe marinade,
then slow roast them to bring out the best flavor possible.
Finally, our chefs smoke your ribs over an open flame to lock in
the juices and make them "fall off the bone tender." If you
are a rib lover, you owe it to yourself to try
these.
If Calabash-style seafood is your thing, Mariani's seafood sampler is your dream-come-true. Flounder, shrimp, oysters, scallops, and clam strips are lightly dusted and quick-fried along with Mariani's famous crabcake. This ensemble of delicious fried seafoods is served with your choice of two sides and all the hushpuppies you care to eat.
Mariani's Chocolate Surprise is the most decadent, rich chocolate cake you will ever eat. This work of art is a multi-layer chocolate cake complete with chocolate chunks baked right in. Two layers of ganache complete this unbelievable dessert. Add the flavors of chocolate sauce, fresh whipped cream, and ripe strawberries to make this something unforgettable.
Our customers really love this one. We start with the freshest vegetables available, then top them with two cheeses, real bacon bits, our homemade croutons, and your choice of dressings. On top of this we place a piece of our succulent grilled pink salmon. This is a lunch time favorite, as well as a great light dinner.

The venue and restaurant is owned by Mariani and his wife Gertie Locklear Mariani, who teaches biology at Purnell Swett High School. The two first met in 1986 on a blind date. Gertie was waitressing at a sandwich shop in Pembroke owned by one of Mariani’s good friends, who thought the two might hit it off. The friend, Kally Kahn, had told Mariani, “You need a wife, and I know someone in Pembroke.” Mariani said he agreed to the fix-up. Their first date was at a restaurant in Fayetteville. “It was a wonderful evening,” Gertie said. “I think I loved him the minute I saw him.” They now have two daughters, Sarah, 15, and Hannah, 13.
The 12,000-square-foot restaurant is a steel structure wrapped in wood and granite stone. The restaurant has a bank of two-story windows looking out over a large patio and lake, and interior accents painted by Hope Mills artist Dennis Brechner. The restaurant employs about 50 people.
